Listen to the same recording twice

Each card names the problem in the raw file, lets you play the before and the after, and lists exactly what changed.

Samples use audio Moonrise Productions recorded or has written permission to publish. Cards without files yet say so rather than showing a player that cannot play.

Room echo, uneven levels, laptop-mic guest

Remote two-person interview

A host on a good microphone and a guest on a laptop, recorded in a hard-surfaced room. The goal is a conversation that sounds like it happened in one place.

Four speakers on separate tracks with plenty of overlap. Cutting the digressions matters more here than any processing.

A scripted monologue recorded in several passes. The edit chooses between takes and settles the pacing.

How to listen

What to pay attention to

  • Room, not gearMost “bad audio” is a room problem. Listen for how much of the space you can hear around the voice.
  • Level between speakersYou should not reach for the volume knob when the other person talks.
  • What got cutThe finished clip is shorter for a reason. Notice which detours are gone.
