Editing

You send raw files. You get a finished episode back, ready to publish.

Pricing

How a quote gets put together

Prices are not published yet. When they are, every quote will be bounded by these four things and agreed in writing before work starts.

  1. Raw recording duration

    Quotes are banded by how much raw material arrives, not by the finished runtime.

  2. Speakers and tracks

    A solo track and a four-way remote with separate files are different amounts of work.

  3. Editing complexity

    A tight conversation and a heavily reshaped narrative episode sit in different bands.

  4. Turnaround

    Scheduled work and compressed timelines are priced differently. Both are agreed in writing first.

Longer recordings take longer to edit. If a recording arrives outside the band it was quoted in, we send a revised quote for the extra material before continuing.

Before you ask

What do you need from me to start?

The raw recordings — separate tracks if you have them — plus any intro, outro, or music beds you already use, and a published episode you consider representative of the show.

How do we exchange files?

File hand-off method to be confirmed. You upload raw files to one shared folder and we return finished audio to the same place.

How long does an episode take?

Turnaround to be confirmed. Turnaround is agreed per project once we know episode length, track count, and how much cleanup the raw files need.

What if the recording runs longer than expected?

Longer raw material means more editing time. If a recording lands outside the band it was quoted in, we send a revised quote for the extra material before continuing.

How do revisions work?

Revision policy to be confirmed. Timestamped notes on the first draft are the fastest way to get changes made accurately.

Do you work with video?

Audio is the focus. We can work from a video recording and return finished audio, and we can cut short clips for social, but we do not take on full video editing.

Do you take on shows that have not launched yet?

Yes. Pre-launch shows usually need decisions about structure, length, and the intro and outro before the first edit, so we cover those first.

Who actually does the work?

Sarah and Blake. The work is not passed to anyone outside Moonrise Productions.
